Nurse Mama, You Care for Everyone… But What About You?

Featuring Holistic Health Practitioner, Savannah Scagliotti

As a nurse, caregiver, or healthcare provider—you’ve been trained to care for others. You know the signs, symptoms, protocols, and treatments. You’re the one everyone else relies on.

But let me ask you something tender and real:
Are you caring for yourself the way you care for others?

If you're anything like me, the answer might hit hard.

The Truth I Couldn’t Ignore Any Longer

For years, it was normal for me to pop 800 mg of ibuprofen at the first sign of a headache. I didn’t think twice about running on little sleep, grabbing whatever food I could between shifts, and brushing off gut issues that had been with me most of my life.

I was a nurse. I had the knowledge. But I wasn’t stewarding my own wellness.
I was functioning—but not flourishing.
Can you relate?

This week on the Holistic Moms podcast, I had a beautiful conversation with Savannah Scagliotti—a Christ-centered holistic health practitioner, herbalist, and alignment specialist. We dug into what it means to care for your whole self with God at the center.

Discernment Is the Foundation of Holistic Wellness

Savannah shared something that stopped me in my tracks:
Discernment is the starting point for your holistic health journey.

Too often we jump to quick fixes—new supplements, diets, or routines—without pausing to ask God:
What does MY body, mind, and spirit need right now?

Savannah outlines her 4-Step Discernment Process rooted in Scripture:

  • Guidance – Seek God first (Proverbs 3:5-6)

  • Wisdom – Ask for spiritual wisdom, not just worldly advice (James 1:5)

  • Judgment – Use wise judgment and boundaries (Hebrews 5:14)

  • Call to Action – Be obedient to what He reveals (Romans 12:2)

And get this—when I asked her where to begin on your holistic health journey, she didn’t say gut health, hormones, or exercise.

She said one word: STRESS.

If You’re a Stressed-Out Nurse or Mom… You’re in the Right Place

The truth is, stress isn’t just a feeling.
It affects your hormones. Your digestion. Your sleep. Your mood.
And if you’re living in chronic stress (hello, healthcare career + motherhood), you’re headed for burnout if something doesn’t shift.

That’s why I created the Find More Time Workshop.
